Washingtonia Robusta

Washingtonia robusta is a palm tree species native to western Sonora, Baja California, and southern California. It is commonly known as Mexican fan palm or Washington palm and is widely cultivated as an ornamental tree in many parts of the world. The tree can reach up to 30 meters in height, with a slender trunk that is typically gray in color and marked by persistent leaf bases. Its leaves are fan-shaped and can grow up to 1.5 meters in length. The tree produces small, cream-colored flowers in the spring and summer, which give way to small, black fruits. Washingtonia robusta is a hardy species that can tolerate a range of growing conditions, including high heat and drought. It is often planted in parks, along streets, and in gardens for its ornamental value and as a symbol of the American Southwest.
