Landscape Site Engineer

Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in Irrigation, Landscaping, and Agriculture background. Candidates who have the required qualification and good experience may apply. Candidate should have a valid NOC and ready to join in a short notice.

Job Description:

  • Engineering of Soft Landscaping and Irrigation System for Construction of new projects.
  • Paying site visits for new tenders and attending team meetings.
  • Operating, handling, coordinating all activities of soft landscaping and irrigation system.
  • Scheduling all executions of the Project, planning and implementation of project manpower and material requirements.
  • Planning and coordinating the preparation of reports, claims, shop drawings, monthly invoice and other documentations.
  • Landscape and Irrigation Maintenance supervision of Sites.
  • Scheduling of machineries and equipment.
  • Client, Consultant meetings and coordination.
  • Supervision of softscape planting and irrigation network installation, sending report to management as requested.
  • Checking technical designs and drawing to ensure that they are followed correctly.
  • Ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budget or timescales.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
  • Providing technical advice and solving problem at site.
  • Preparing site reports and filling & needed paperwork, shop drawing works once needed.
  • Request needed materials for projects as per schedule requirement.
  • Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of the materials.
  • Ensuring that health, safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
  • To conceptualize layouts for the project and review all estimates before they are being submitted.
  • Analyses the estimates, identifies the anomalies and makes sure that their accuracies are verified.
  • Confers with the engineers, architects, subcontractors, contractors, vendors, etc., on the adjustments or changes that need to be made in the cost estimates and helps in demanding the feasibility of the project.
  • Reviewing projects plan and technical specification.
  • Responsible for technical submission documents (material submittals, method statements, shop drawings... etc.,) for newly awarded projects.
  • Supervising Engineering and site works; submittals, method statements, shop drawings.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for developing marketing strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives, and that are tailored to the landscaping industry.
  • Discovering, pursuing new sales prospect, closing sales deals, negotiate and finalizes financial deals with clients. Achieve company goals and sales target.
  • Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media, Setting up meetings with potential clients and listening to their wishes and concerns
  • Candidate will be responsible for the Implementation of direct marketing and sales activities to maintain and develop sales within a specific area in compliance with agreed sales and marketing plans.

Irrigation Supervisor

  • More than 3 years of experience in Doha, Qatar as Irrigation Supervisor

• Monitor irrigation systems on projects while working to ensure adequate, efficient irrigation on site.
• Communicate damage or improvement needs to Site Engineers.
• Perform and Monitor complete station by station irrigation inspections and create a report with a proposal for resolution.
• Layouts and install new or renovated irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoots irrigation systems to determine reparation needs.
• Pulls and fits piping for irrigation systems
• Sets sprinkler heads and valve boxes.
• Tests irrigation systems for proper functioning.

• Ensures proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools assigned to/used by assigned crew.
• Communicates crew performance concerns to Enhancement / Irrigation Engineer/ Operation Manager with recommendations for corrective action.

• Facilitate conflict resolution between crew members.
• Monitors crew’s compliance with quality and safety standards.

Landscape Manager

Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the General Manager, he oversees all day-to-day operational aspects of a start-up landscape maintenance business. Due to already established affiliations and partnerships, the business is poised to grow very quickly due to vast company-owned property holdings throughout Qatar.
    To oversee all customer interface and labour relations aspects of the landscape business; -- including sales, customer contract management, labour logistics, labour training, and equipment/vehicles/fleet management.
  • To ensure that overall operational performance targets are achieved in relation to service quality, contract (project) costs, and customer expectations.
  • To ensure that profitability goals are designed into new customer contracts, while also ensuring that profit margins are maintained with our existing customer accounts/contracts.
  • The ideal candidate has a history as being Customer Service-oriented with ability to leverage company resources to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • To bring knowledge and abilities in creating accurate cost estimates, creating and evaluating cost control, productivity and a focus on quality service.
  • Having strong leadership abilities and personality; he should be able to oversee multiple customer accounts that involve hiring, training, and implementation of site maintenance teams for a many business customers across numerous industries.

Educational Requirement:
Bachelor's degree (Min.) in Horticulture, Landscape Contracting, Construction Management, or some related Engineering field. Candidates with advanced business or economics degrees will be considered if they possess the requisite landscape business experience.

Knowledge Base:
Demonstrated knowledge of all aspect of operating the day-to-day operation of a large landscape company. Working knowledge of trees, shrubs, annual plantings, plus a vast knowledge of installing and repairing automatic irrigation systems.
